About me – Janelle McGuinness – I’m the author behind JMcG Books. 

I know reading is so important for young minds; but so is the bonding time between parents and their children. I write picture books and create coloring and activity books designed to bring parents and kids closer together for more shared smiles, laughter, and love. 

I live in Australia and am also a Mum to two young children. As a working mum, I can’t wait to spend time with my kiddos and my favorite pastime is watching their faces light up whilst I read them stories. My stories, originally told just for my children, took on a life of their own and now I hope your family enjoys them as much as my children do. 

I have been blogging and writing since 2008, but in 2016 self-published my first book “Come Out Mr Poo!“, which is an Amazon bestseller. I have written 9 other picture books, 5 of which are part of the Secret School Spy Squad series. Many of my books aim to help parents and children overcome a development milestone or a new experience like potty training or the first day at day care.

More recently I started creating coloring books and activity books for both kids and adults. The coloring book “Unicorns, Rainbows, Mermaids and More” is also an Amazon bestseller with over 1500 5 star ratings.
